all the little things

There’s a lot of things in this life right now that I wish were different. But there’s also a lot of things that could be different and aren’t, bless for those things.

I say this often, kindness revealed is one of my favorite things. I suppose i have a lot of favorite things, but that doesn’t make them any less special. I think with everything I’ve seen in this life, I have big space in my heart for wonder. And the more wonder I see, the bigger my eyes respond.

If someone were to ask me if I wanted all the stars or just one, I wouldn’t hesitate. One star is the greatest gift. Not because it slows greediness but because it allows that one star to be looked upon by you, millions of miles below it, and say “that one belongs to me. isn’t she damn beautiful?”
